ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Leonid Afremov, 1955-

Leonid Afremov is a Belarusian artist whose bright Impressionistic oil paintings have shown to be highly popular worldwide, with a lot of his success being down to the rise of Internet purchasing and blogging platforms. Though his work is aesthetically focused and unpolitical, it does not lack in its ability to inspire and amaze. In fact I defy anyone to look at a high definition version of Dream Harbour and not be entranced by the luminosity of Afremov’s colour palette. It’s like Monet on acid.
